Today I have some good news to share! As many of you who follow my weekly Vagabond Adventures know, I have been enjoying a one year contract in stunning Alberta with my company, Pearson Canada. This week I learned that I will be moving to equally stunning British Columbia to take on a full time position with Pearson. I feel SO lucky!
To commemorate my time here in Alberta, and with kind promptings from many of you, I have decided to create a book or two to celebrate the many fortunate weekend photo adventures I had this year. As mentioned in last week’s post, I do plan to create a black and white photo book that will showcase many of the snaps I took with my “serious” camera. You can find my “serious snaps” on my website here. The expansive, expressive, volatile Alberta landscape lends itself well to black and white photography and I must again admit how fortunate I have been to witness this stunning beauty, even for just one season!
I have also taken many in-the-moment snaps with my trusty iPhone along the way and shared them via one of my favourite social media/photography sites, Instagram. Each weekend I appreciated the ability to share my travels as they happened with you. It often felt like each of you were traveling with me! There are many creative options available to turn these colourful little snaps into a book from Printstagram to funky Artifact Uprising. Each of these services allow you to upload your favourite Instagram shots and create anything from a photo book to art cards and even business cards. It is my plan to create a photo book at the end of this year but I need your help!
Every book needs a cover, right? With the help of two of my favourite photo editing apps Distressed and Word Swag, I have created a selection of possible covers from some of my favourite Instagram shots this year. Your mission, should you choose to accept it 🙂 is to make your way over to my Vagabond Photography page on Facebook and “like” the cover you would want to see on my wee little book. As always, your support is greatly appreciated by this Vagabond Photographer!
Thanks so much for following along on my Awesome Alberta Adventures!
