Canadian women’s right activist, author, and jurist, Emily Murphy’s keen observation about “the colour of the air” here in gorgeous Alberta is incredibly accurate! Each weekend I have gathered evidence of this wondrous phenomenon on my back roads Jeep photo adventures, a few of which you can see in the collage above. While my ultimate goal is to capture the spirit of Alberta with my “serious camera” and share this with you on my website, I enjoy bringing you with me as I drive through my in-the-moment Instagram snaps taken with my handy iPhone. Believe it or not, each of the above snaps were taken with my hand-held computer also called my “phone.”
A dear friend recently asked about purchasing one of these Instagram shots and this thoughtful, appreciated request sent me on a search for an accurate answer. What can be done with photos that have a relatively small file size? As it turns out, quite a lot! These tiny squares of emotion can become a gallery-like canvas print through a service like Canvas Pop or Black’s, or framed prints, art cards or collage posters through funky, fun Printstagram. It really depends on your wall space, budget and creativity. To learn more about the different outputs for Instagram shots, check out this recent review of sources here. If you would like me to print off one of my Alberta snaps, let me know and I can order one for you through one of the services mentioned here and have it sent direct to you. Just leave me a note in the comments section below.
As always, thanks for coming along with me on my Alberta Vagabond Adventures. You have no idea how much this is appreciated!!
