I’m sure I will look back on 2013 as the year I got a much needed break. The year when I learned how to enjoy taking photos of people as much as landscapes (Thanks TVO!) The year when I finally learned what is important in life – family, friends, and good health.
It will also mark the year that I packed up my tiny Toronto apartment and moved west!! Yes, it is official. I have a new gig for next year that will take me to Calgary and back to some dear friends who I missed working with. I am taking on a one year contract starting January 20th with Pearson in the province where I spent most of my career with them back in the mid 2000’s. Alberta is calling me back home! It will be a chance to start fresh. Learn lots. Grow! Enjoy the mountain air. Take more pictures like the one I took above in Jasper National Park while on my weekend vagabond adventures. And I’m trading up when it comes to mayors 🙂
I want to thank everyone who stuck by me this year. It wasn’t always the easiest ride I know. But the life lessons learned will travel with me as I head west. I promise to keep you up to date here with (hopefully) gorgeous photos of our heartland and stories from the road each weekend. Please know that I will miss you!
While I am no longer sure of what the future might hold, I am going to make sure to enjoy the ride this time. It is time to get busy!!
Wishing you success, happiness, and joy on this new journey! I am certain that you will embrace this new adventure with the same passion which has always directed you! Although your family and friends will miss you,I am sure that they will also applaud this move and cheer you on,as they always have. All the best,Patti. Please keep in touch. 🙂
Thanks Dianne! I really needed a new adventure but I will miss all of my friends and family this next year. There will be lots of hugs over Christmas!! Thanks for your kind comments!
Awesome news! But what about your boardwalk sunrises?
Perhaps it’s time for mountain sunsets? I will miss this special spot Jo but this is a chance to experience new ones I hope. Stay tuned!
Actually, I have always been more of a sunset girl myself, because they occur at a more civilized hour. I hope you and Scruffy have safe travels and amazing adventures out west.
Well Calgary is gaining one amazing woman 🙂 I am so excited for you as you embark upon yet another wonderful chapter. You go girl. Live the Moment and enjoy each and everyone as they unfold.
I will still look forward to seeing more of your breathtaking and beautiful “art” on a lovely publication one of these days – one of them fancy coffee table books will do for a start.
Many blessings and joy always surround you Patti Henderson.
Hugs, Jude
Thanks so much for your kind comments and generous support these past few years Judith! It is greatly appreciated!
Wow! Congratulations Patti! Welcome to the West! Not quite far enough but oh well. I know you will have to spend some time in our special neighbourhood – the Sunshine Coast! You’ll have to get to know our family in Calgary too! Will be in touch. xxx000
Thanks Cousin! I hope to visit you yet out in your little patch of heaven! Someday soon I hope!
