“You can count on me. Please have snow and mistletoe and presents on the tree”…well, please have snow. There’s no need for mistletoe or presents. Just snow and family! I just got off the phone with my folks back home in Forest and I must thank them. I will be driving home today to a white Christmas! My jeep will be happy…
As I pack my bags for home, it strikes me that this holiday season and my hopes and wishes for it have really changed over the years. All I really want for Christmas is precious time with a healthy, happy family. I’m hoping and longing for a giant Henderson hug when I get in the door at 15 Church Street later today. And a hot cup of tea. Simple pleasures are the best.
So this Christmas, I’m wishing all of you the gift of simple pleasures – time spent with family and friends. Lots of hugs!! I guess Dr. Seuss really got it right all those years ago:
“Christmas day will always be, Just as long as we have we.”
PS…I took the photo above last year out the window of a train heading west. We were just passing over the Rockies. I transformed the photo into a painting using the awesome Glaze app.
Merry Christmas – love you all!
Merry Christmas, Patti. You are absolutely right about the simple pleasures. I hope you get lots of hugs and any number of other wonderful moments this Christmas.
I remember this picture from your trip pictures. Very nice…Very wintry.
Merry Christmas to you and your family Peter! And yes, lots of hugs already 🙂
