Can you name that tune? It is my most favourite back roads adventure driving tune and it plays in my head every time I hop in my Jeep and drive out of the city in search of fresh air, rolling hillsides, fall colours and freedom. This past Tuesday dawned bright and sunny and so I took the day to explore and see if I could capture what remains of the fiery autumn foliage. I took the snap above just outside of the lovely village of Mono Cliffs. Typically, I will not take a photo into the sun, but I couldn’t help it just this once. The late afternoon sun was warm against my face and everything in my being said look up and shoot.
My companions on my day of adventure were many and perfect for a relaxing drive down country lanes: Union Station, David Gray, Norah Jones, Mumford and Sons, Mary Chapin Carpenter…and John Denver. You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl!!
OK, I must split…it is a sunny Sunday morning and another Back Roads Jeep Day of Adventure beckons. Perhaps I will get as far as Creemore today…
If you would like to see the rest of my snaps from Tuesday’s drive, please visit my gallery here. And have a lovely Sunday!
Lovely pic, Pattigirl! Going to Creemore? Perhaps you can take in a tour of Creemore’s brewery. Would be fun…
Hey M! Thanks and I just may…and let’s do get together. Can it wait one week? Hectic this week but good after that…
