Actually, the full quote from Charles Dickens goes as follows: “Home is a name, a word, it is a strong one; stronger than magician ever spoke, or spirit ever answered to, in the strongest conjuration.” I could not have said it better myself, but adding a photo of home might help? Late last night I got home after a work trip that took me to Saskatchewan and Alberta; two of my favourite Canadian provinces. I cannot decide if they are among my favourite because of the warmth of the people or the vastness of the prairie sky. Both in equal measure I think. Yet, no matter how much I enjoy travelling and it’s promise of new adventures, I find myself longing for home. I took the photo above out of my apartment window moments ago. It is such a joy to wake up to the sound of sea gulls and to see sailboats and kites float past my window. As you can see, there are lots of kites today! It feels so good to be home!
