Pure Joy!

A week ago today I sighed contentedly and with a hint of sadness as I watched the shores of Long Beach, Tofino recede in my rear view mirror.  I was leaving a magical, stunningly beautiful place behind along with my heart and a good portion of my soul.  I spent much of today sifting through the many photos I took while there and could easily smell the fresh ocean air and hear the pounding surf from my perch here in Toronto.  I found several unexpected shots (I take a lot!) and the above topped my list.  It represents exactly how I felt when I reached the coast and saw the vast expanse of the Pacific opening up in front of me, ready to engage all of my senses. Pure joy!

I will post more shots here this week as well as on my daily photo blog.  Of course they do not quite capture the live Tofino experience but some do come close! Please stay tuned.
