After a hectic week on the road in and around Vancouver, I find myself celebrating a weekend in groovy Tofino on Canada’s West Coast.  I took the photo above this morning outside of my weekend retreat, Long Beach Lodge, just outside of Tofino.  I thought a snap of a Mum and daughter a fitting post for this Mother’s Day weekend!

It is spectacularly rugged here, with sweeping ocean vistas, pounding surf, and the freshest air imaginable. I am going to find it very hard to leave this place. It has captured my soul and has soothed my weary vagabond spirit.
