Martin Luther certainly got a lot of things right, including his quote in the title of this post. I was in the midst of having the best afternoon ever last Sunday, walking along the sea wall near Stanley Park in Vancouver when I came across the gentleman above quietly crooning, character-filled face lit by the warmth of the late afternoon sun. I had just spent two days indoors in an inspiring, emotion-filled meeting for work in a hotel in downtown Vancouver, and I had the luck to find time to stretch my legs and breathe in the fresh ocean air along the sea wall in Stanley Park on a rare Vancouver sunny day. This shot pretty much captures the essence of my walk. Peace-filled, groovy and a moment in time that I will look back upon often and say “that was a good day.”

Patti, I really enjoyed this post and the images it created in my mind. Rachel is asleep on my lap and I just had a wander along the seacoast in lovely Stanley Park! Thanks for sharing!
Oh yes and the picture is fantastic – love the colour and texture of it!
Thanks Emily, and dear little Rachel!
