This weekend found me on the road to visit good friends in Morriston, Ontario, just outside of Guelph. While in the area, why not explore? One of my favourite places to visit is Elora just north of Guelph. Great shops, old rustic buildings, lovely restaurants. What’s not to like? On this visit I could only get a few snaps off but I’ll go back again soon for a real visit. The shot above is of an old abandoned church on Henderson Street. Great name. I thought it would make a great photography studio/converted loft…maybe someday…
If you’re in the vicinity of Elora, you must also check out the “Kissing Bridge” in West Montrose (take David Street south out of Elora and you’ll eventually find yourself in West Montrose). This is Ontario’s only covered bridge. Here’s a shot, and if you would like to see a few more snaps from yesterday’s backroad adventure, visit my January gallery here.
