I’m going to start this post by admitting that I know that the Olympics, and even the torch relay, is controversial for many valid reasons.  Politics.  Money.  Influence.  Sponsorship.  But can I throw out some other terms to even the balance?  Hope.  Light.  Passion.  Commitment.  Inspiration.  Nationalism (the good form).  I am proud to say that I was able to witness the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay pass through my tiny home town on Christmas eve.  Tears filled my eyes when all of us gathered at the town square to sing O Canada as the torch was lit.  A proud moment in Forest, Ontario.

If you would like to follow the relay, this site is great: http://www.vancouver2010.com/more-2010-information/olympic-torch-relay/torch-relay-photos/
