The short answer is yes, and I’ll tell you how in a moment. But…if you are ever lucky enough to take a trip to The Big Apple, take a week…take two! My guess is that a year won’t even do it justice.
But if you are like me and necessity asks you to hit all the highlights in one day, here is what I recommend. A ticket on Gray Line’s Hop On, Hop Off Tour. And of course do some research first so you are able to prioritize your stops. I absolutely loved my tour. First of all, riding on top of a double decker bus gives you the best views of the city. You feel like you can almost reach out and touch the skyscrapers. Don’t try that at home… 🙂 The biggest benefit comes from the first hand knowledge and story-telling prowess of Gray Line’s tour guides. I had the pleasure of riding with three different guides, each with their own style and set of unique and often fascinating New York stories. It is obvious that these folks love their city, and who wouldn’t?? If you want to see a few more snaps from my whirlwind tour of the Big Apple, please visit my photo website here. I added a few more snaps today, thanks to Canadian Thanksgiving Monday!
PS, I snagged the snap above from the top of the Empire State Building. One of my favourite iconic New York buildings is the Chrysler Building in the top right hand corner…
